The collaboration between Humana Nova, a social cooperative, and Sobočan, a local company, began in 2015. The aim was to create a local partnership for the sale of textile products with social impact.
Through the partnership, Humana Nova leverages its expertise to produce textile products from ecological and recycled materials to meet Sobočan's needs. The products, including eco-certified t-shirts, promotional materials, and felt slippers, are sold to Sobočan. The company also supports the social cooperative by donating office equipment and promoting its overall market expansion.
The partnership provided Humana Nova with one of its first consistent B2B collaborations, ensuring stable orders that facilitated production planning, job creation, and revenue growth. The long-term cooperation between both organisations, among the first of its kind in Croatia, has led to a deep trust and has also served as a valuable reference to encourage similar collaborations with private actors.
“Our partnership is unique as we have nurtured a close bond with a respected family business that supported our social enterprise from its inception. Their support not only ensured our survival but also fostered significant business development. Consequently, we’ve established a deep trust between our organisations. As their business expands, our collaboration grows with increased orders. This model can be replicated by other social enterprises that offer quality products and services and can find private sector companies interested in contributing to local impact initiatives.”
