Emmaüs Palermo - Via Caravaggio

This organisation is part of the Emmaus movement in Italy. It is active in the city of Palermo employs 8 people in socio-professional reintegration, in addition to receiving support from volunteers. Together, they carry out the traditional work of Emmaus communities: collection, recovery, sorting, preparation for reuse and resale at low prices. Emmaus Palermo is active above all in the most peripheral contexts and in those that are neglected by the authorities. Emmaus Palermo was given a building that was confiscated from the mafia in the Vergine Maria neighbourhood. Through many cultural events, Emmaus Palermo raises awareness about solidarity, poverty and social anti-mafia action.
