Fairhaus operates social department stores at seven locations in the city of Düsseldorf and Neuss, offering a wide range of affordable products such as clothes, shoes, household goods and small furniture while offering permanent employment to people with and without disabilities. The Fairhaus concept is designed to support socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Additionally, it also has an online shop and an upcycling initiative called UPcycle, which produces unique, hand-made products from donated materials and recycling woods. Fairhaus is operated by the renatec GmbH, which is the work and employment company of the Diakonie Düsseldorf.
