Kierrätyskeskus is a non-profit organisation founded in 1990 that aims to reduce the consumption of natural resources, raise environmental awareness and increase employment opportunities.
It operates multiple stores and a webshop, offering a wide range of second-hand items and also accepts donations of items in good condition. It has been successful in waste prevention, circulating over 4 million products annually. Kierrätyskeskus also serves as a learning environment for circular economy practices and employs long-term unemployed individuals as part of its business model.
