RREUSE kicks off 2025 with new members, roles, and exciting changes

The RREUSE network continues to grow and evolve! Our General Assembly on 16 October 2024 in The Hague marked several milestones to bolster our collective impact in advancing the social and circular economy across Europe.

We are thrilled to welcome Center Ponovne Uporabe (CPU) as a new member from  January 2025. As pioneers in their field, CPU established Slovenia’s first reuse centre in 2010. Over the years, they have played a crucial role in transforming Slovenia’s waste treatment approach through various EU and non-EU projects. By providing practical solutions for waste prevention and promoting local job creation, they particularly focus on helping individuals who face barriers to entering the mainstream labour market.

The General Assembly also approved the transition to effective membership status for TESS GEIE, Reuse Federace, and Re-Use Deutschland starting in 2025.  Additionally, we welcomed Chris Mooney-Brown from CRNI to the RREUSE Board, where he will replace Emma Kavanagh. Chris’s commitment to community-driven sustainability will significantly benefit our governance.

Emma has not gone far, as she joined RREUSE in January as the Network Development and Innovation Manager. She is stepping in while Jana Žurková is on sabbatical. With a rich background in the non-profit sector, Emma’s skills in storytelling, network development, and advocacy are sure to enhance RREUSE’s impact. Welcome, Emma!
