At the top of the waste hierarchy but underfunded: Who should pay for re-use?

At the top of the waste hierarchy but underfunded:
Who should pay for re-use?

Read the Event Agenda.

The current absence of concrete policy measures to prioritise re-use (waste prevention) and preparing for re-use (waste treatment) over recycling and incineration makes the Waste Hierarchy appear like a mere paper tiger. The Commission is looking into revising the EU Waste Framework through a new initiative aiming at “reducing waste generation including through re-use of products or components”.

During this webinar, we will try to identify which entities are the most relevant to finance the infrastructures, the training, the new technologies, the collection and treatment services that are needed to make re-use the norm at EU level. Our members CRNI, Insieme, and Envie will be invited to present and discuss best practices together with their financing partners. This webinar will also contain an interactive session where participants will be invited to share their own best practices or brainstorm about how re-use policies should be financed.
