RREUSE welcomes the appointment of a new Director and Deputy Director

9th May 2023 | News

RREUSE welcomes the appointment Neva Nahtigal as the new Director of the secretariat, and Jana Zurkova as the Deputy Director.

Neva brings over twenty years of diverse professional experience and holds Master’s degrees in Media Studies and Public Policy. From her early days in journalism and labour union movement to her engagements in research and policy consulting, campaigning and lobbying, Neva has been committed to advancing social and economic justice, respect for human rights, action on global environmental emergencies and civil society participation in policymaking.

Neva will work closely with Jana Zurkova, who has been promoted to the new position of Deputy Director. Jana has been with RREUSE since 2016 and has played a vital role in the organisation’s network development and innovation.

As RREUSE welcomes its new leadership, the organisation remains committed to advancing its vision of an inclusive circular economy based on reuse and repair in solidarity with both people and the environment.

RREUSE is more and more stepping out of its niche, and social enterprises are ever more recognized by key stakeholders for their role as important partners in a just transition toward a climate-neutral circular economy. I am looking forward to this new era with the new leadership of our secretariat and together with you all!

– Matthias Neitsch, RREUSE President
